Welcome

Hello! Welcome to my home page!

I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of South Florida in December 2015. My PhD dissertation focuses on content abuse and privacy concerns in online social networks.

After my Ph.D. I have joined Sonobi Inc as a Software Engineer. At Sonobi, I am building large-scale, distributed systems and services for ad targeting, machine learning and reporting involving billions of daily online auctions. Please visit my LinkedIn profile for updated information (there is a chance that I haven't updated this site recently!).

In my PhD, I have worked with Adriana Iamnitchi in the Distributed Systems Lab. I spent the fall of 2013 as an intern at Yahoo Research Labs, Barcelona Spain, working with Nicolas Kourtellis and Daniele Querica. Prior to my PhD studies, I have worked as an Engineer for SoftwarePeople, Delta Life, and Binary Solutions. I was also a Lecturer in the CS department of the University of Information and Technology and Sciences.

My research interests span the areas of big data analytics, privacy, engagement, and abuse in online social networks. My research aims at mining large-scale networks, such as online social, community Q/A, and blogging networks to extract lessons for limiting content abuse, creating user engagement, and defining appropriate privacy.
